An environmental scholar working as Assistant Research Officer – Climate
Change within the ‘Strengthening Regional Climate Resilience’ program at the Institute of
Regional Studies, Islamabad. Core interests are climate change governance and environmental
policy.
Mr. Bhatti holds analytical skills for regional and global climate dashboards, and
co-authored research reports and chapters for multilateral donor agencies like EU and D-8.
Worked as a Research Associate at Weather and Climate Services on project called “PROVIDE”.
Also taught undergraduate programs for 3 years in multiple federal universities like
Quaid-I-Azam University and Bahira University; produced more than 300 climate informed
advocates.
Now regularly publishes short articles in print media on multiple topics like climate
breakdown, climate security, climate justice, and regional diplomacy. Appears regularly on
national and international media outlets like PTV World, News, VOA, FmSuno, Times, TEDx,
Pakistan Radio, Inside Climate etc and has contributed in conferences like LCOY, QAU Action
Summit as panelist, speaker and Keynote.
He has held capacity building sessions in multiple universities and think tanks including
FSA, NUST, BAU, BNU, QAU, HU, SZABIST, FCDO, CSCR, CRSS, Muslim hands, KIIR, YKF, CSCCC,
SDPI, UNHCR - Geneva, UN-Women, US-State Department, US-AID, KCFR, WWF and SDGs Academy.
Previously has published three research articles in international journals “Fuel”,
“Environmental Management” and "Science of Total Environment", investigating applications of
nanotechnology and smart agriculture.
